In 2021 David and Abel registered Thailand Sustainable Ministries (TSM) to reflect our commitment to establishing church communities that are self-sustainable, both financially and spiritually. We recognize we are beginning the final stages of our ministry. Our goal is to leave behind church communities and Christian outreach programs that do not need to rely on foreign support once our families are retired. (NOTE: We anticipate many more good years ahead of us, but we need to start building this now.)

Current sustainability projects include:

1. Avocado Cultivation: Abel & Ruth Sairatanyu have been cultivating avocado to help support the Ban Dek Suk Jai Children's Hostel and the Lahu Evangelism.
2. Cocoa Cultivation: David has started cultivating cocoa to help support Lua and Thai evangelism and other projects.
Current ministries that will continue under TSM will include:

1. Church evangelism among the Lua people of Nan Province (the original ministry started by David’s parents)
2. Church evangelism among the Lahu people of Northern Thailand (Abel and Ruth)
3. Church plant in San Pa Ha village, Chiang Mai Thailand (David and Sharon)
Our goal is to be able to fund ministries through avocado and cocoa cultivation by the time our two families retire. However we are just starting these projects. Your support is still very important to continue funding the above ministries as we develop the sustainability component. We also need support to help develop the sustainability projects: buying saplings, equipment, training church members, training staff to eventually oversee the projects.
