Growing Pains September Report 2024

Where we make our English Muffins.

God provides.  We mentioned back in July that our support was going to be reduced by about 30%.  Many of you responded in ways beyond our expectations.  We have made through our first month.  Thank you everyone who stepped up to help. Please keep this in your prayers as we still have a ways to go before being more self-sustaining.

We continue to build Brook Falls Deli business.  Our facilities at the orchard are complete and we have full use of a great kitchen to make our bacon, sausages, and English muffins.  Pray we can increase our customer base 100% by January 1^st.

San Pa Ha Christian Church continues to grow. We now average 20 every Sunday.  We a planning sports outreach weekend in October during school break.  Growth is good. But with growth there are  always growing pains

In this report we have two praises (growth)  and one prayer request (growing pain).

Cocoa Pods ready to harvest.

Praise #1:  First our cocoa orchard is progressing.  We have 8 pods ready to harvest and sell.  It will only net us about 2 or 3 dollars. But it is just the beginning.  We have also successfully grafted 60 branches and will be planting them soon. These will replace saplings that did no survive due to various factors.  We do not need to buy new saplings. We can cultivate our own.

New Sunday School Room.

Praise #2:  The church has been growing. We go to the point where we needed a separate room for Children’s church/Sunday School for our toddler age children. We have an open air porch area. However during the rainy season we have a issue with mosquitoes.  So we are closing that in.  We were able to raise some extra funding through doing some online work part time. Pray this part time online work continues to be a source of income for the ministry here.

Cleaning ACs in main meeting room.

Prayer Request:  Our electric system still needs to be upgraded from single phase to triple phase.  We need to do this to handle the increased electricity load that comes with expansion.  We will need to add an air conditioner to the new Sunday School room by next March. We are more than maxed out and the two air conditioners we have in the main meeting room  can barely function.  The estimated cost to upgrade is $7,500.  We have raised $1,000 for this need.  Pray God provides an extra $6,500 before next hot season.
