Growth at Nam Ri Phattana Church

A few months ago I made an appeal (here) to help increase salaries for Benz and Pim Pa, our two outreach team members at the Ban Nam Ri Phattana Christian Church.  A few weeks ago Benz reported that three new families had started to attend church and that they ran out of chairs.  There is great interest in the Gospel message in this large village situated on the Thai-Lao border.

Last week I had a phone conversation with Benz and she asked if we could hire a a youong man to join our evangelistic team.  Pim Pa and Benz are female and very capable. They have led the church from just one or two families to over 33 families (not counting the new ones who are showing interest).  Most of this time they were  struggling with the pandemic and yet still able to grow the church.  Benz and Pim Pa realize in it would be good to have a male leader on the team.  I will be going over on March 8-10 to meet with them and interview a young man who has been helping in leading worship.  He is a graduate of Lanna Theological Center as well.

Two urgent needs:

1. We need to increase support of Nam Ri Outreach by about $500 a month. This would increase salaries of Benz and Pim Pa, and provide a salary for the new outreach team member
2. The church would like to build a small kitchen to use for special events and when guests (such as myself) come to visit.  We would like to raise $500  for this project.

Continue to pray for Benz, Pim Pa, and the team at Nam Ri Phattana Church.  This is a former communist village and there has been so much resistance. But now God is opening hearts and minds to the Gospel.  Your support is needed to help this church be the Light of Christ in this community.
